After completing college at the University of Arizona, Dr. Reed attended dental school at the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon, earning the DMD degree. After completing dental school, Dr. Reed remained at OHSU where he received advanced training in anesthesia and also completed a residency in periodontology and later completed a CODA-approved dental anesthesia residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Reed practiced periodontics in Tucson, AZ for over a decade while also providing anesthesia services to his patients. Over 20 years ago Dr. Reed began providing anesthesia services to other dentists in the state of Arizona and continues to do so today, having given up periodontics in 2001.
Dr. Reed is on faculty at a teaching hospital and three dental schools. Most of his time is devoted to teaching residents through NYU Langone Hospitals - Brooklyn. There he is the Associate Program Director of the Dental Anesthesia residency and also serves as an Attending in Anesthesiology in the Dental Anesthesiology, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, and Graduate Pediatric dental residencies.
Dr. Reed is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at The Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry, a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dentistry on the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and a Professor in Residence at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Reed is a Past President of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). He is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology (ADBA) and serves on the Board of Directors of the ADBA as Secretary.
As an author, Dr. Reed has published five textbook chapters in Sedation: A Guide to Patient Management. Two chapters were in the 4th ed. The first was entitled “The Physically Compromised Patient” and the second, “Neurologic Illnesses and Other Conditions.” Three chapters were in the 5th edition of the same text, “The Physically Compromised Patient,” “Neurologic Illnesses and Other Conditions” and “The Geriatric Patient.”
Dr. Reed partnered with Dr. Okundaye to author two additional textbook chapters, “Working with a Dentist Anesthesiologist” and “Management of Emergencies Associated with Sedation”, both in Behavior Management in Dentistry for Children. The third edition of this textbook has now been published with both chapters having been updated. He also partnered with Dr. Roy Stevens in authoring Anesthetic Adversity: Failed Sedation in Anesthesia Complications in the Dental Office, edited by Bosack & Lieblich. Dr. Reed has further contributed to the professional literature by publishing over two dozen articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Over the last 30+ years, Dr. Reed has provided over 10,000 hours of continuing education in anesthesia-related topics.
Dr. Reed is a Certified Parliamentarian-Teacher (CP-T) through the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP) and a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP) through the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP). He also serves on the Board of Directors of AIP.
Additionally, he has a multi-engine ATP* certificate and is a flight instructor, with AGI**, CFI***, CFII**** & MEI***** certificates.

After graduating from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, Dr. Amanda Okundaye attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona as well as a Hospital Dentistry (GPR) program at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She continued her education in a dental anesthesiology residency at the prestigious University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) practicing both in-hospital and in-office mobile anesthesia. Dr. Okundaye is a board certified Dentist Anesthesiologist.
Dr. Okundaye has had a full time private practice solely dedicated to anesthesia for dentistry in Nevada since 2008. She has a faculty appointment at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dentistry. She is an attending for the Pediatric and General Practice Residency programs at UNLV, as well as an attending in Anesthesiology for the NYU Langone Health Dental Anesthesiology program. She is a current Faculty member for the ADSA High Fidelity Human Simulation course.
Dr. Okundaye is an examiner for the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners (NSBDE), on the Anesthesia subcommittee for the NSBDE and conducts site inspections as well as anesthesia exams. She is the Co-Director for the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry moderate parenteral sedation course. Dr. Okundaye is passionate about anesthesia, providing a high level of care to all of her patients always with the utmost in safety in anesthesia in mind. She gives lectures nationally to dentists interested in sedation as well as other topics such as Medical Emergencies in the Dental office.
Dr. Okundaye is a mentor and member of Diversity in Dentistry and Meharry Medical College mentoring programs. She is an active member of both the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and Fellow in General Anesthesia through the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She is also a member of American Dental Association and Southern Nevada Dental Association.
Dr. Okundaye’s recent publications include an article in The Pulse: Why Capnography? In her free time Dr. Okundaye spends as much time as possible with her husband, family and two children.
Dr. Andrea Fonner completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in 2001 and her dental degree at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2004. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Washington Medical Center and a Dental Anesthesiology residency at the University of California Los Angeles. She has maintained a mobile anesthesia practice in the Bellevue/Seattle area since 2009.
She is a Diplomate, Examiner, and Past President of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology (ADBA) and has served as the President and Delegate for the Washington Dental Society of Anesthesiology (WDSA) for 13 years. Dr. Fonner serves as Co-Director of the ADSA High-Fidelity Human Simulation Course and Co-Chair of the ADSA Ten Minutes Saves a Life!© electronic emergency application project. She serves as the Co-Director of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry Parenteral Moderate Sedation Course. She is also the former Course Director of the ADSA Assistant’s Course and the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists (ASDA) Annual Review Course. She is a mom to 11-year-old identical twins, Lauren and Charlotte, and a wife to professional golfer, Matt.
Jason Brady, DMD (Dentist Anesthesiologist) completed his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. Brady completed a hospital and private practice-based residency in Anesthesia at the University of California Los Angeles in 2012.
Dr. Brady is a Past President of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Director for the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the Dental Patient Safety Foundation. He is the co-developer of the Anesthesia Research Foundation’s “Ten Minutes Saves a Life” emergency manual mobile application and is the co-director for ADSA Simulation Course. Dr. Brady is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists and is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Brady is involved with education and serves as an Attending in Anesthesiology for the New York University Langone Health Dental Anesthesiology program. He teaches IV sedation at Oregon Academy of General Dentistry. He is former faculty of the Department of Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics at the Ostrow School of Dentistry at University of Southern California. He has given lectures at various organizations throughout North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. Dr. Brady practices in-office mobile anesthesia for dentistry and lives in Gilbert, AZ with his wife and their six children.
